Pretty sure Ron Harper’s 84-85 NCAA team finished second in the MAC and got an at large NCAA invite. I could be wrong.

What Redsea was referring to is that in the history of the MAC, every time the conference has had an at large bid to the NCAA it’s been Miami except for 1998 WMU.

If Miami wins tonight and Akron loses to Kent in the late game, Miami will clinch its first MAC regular season title since 04-05. We would be 2 games up on Akron with 2 to play, holding the tiebreaker.

WMU once had a larger capacity in the same Fieldhouse it reconfigured the court and made it smaller about 25 years ago. It kinda used to look like a small football field inside an Armory.
