None of the three announced a new team and none have a P4 offer. So, this could also be the staff moving on and asking them to decommit.
Cayden Dees announced a Tulane offer before decommiting. Mason Holbrooke said “After unforeseen circumstances”’ which makes it sound like he might have lost his offer, but that would surprise me because he’s a local kid and has really good film in my opinion. Ziiyahn Blair actually decommited in May but hasn’t announced any offers since.
Thanks for the update!
As I said, the one I hated to see the most was Holbrooke. Really good tape.
6,8 250 as a high schooler. Flipped, ugh.
He was one of our commits who recently received P4 offers. The other two are Makhi Boone who received a WVU offer and is visiting them this weekend and Hudson Aultman who received a MSU offer and is visiting their this weekend.
Well he’s going to the right school for cornball face painting. BET!
Well this sucks.
Happy for them. Maybe we get some guys from P4 who could shine here. Cycle of life.
A once promising recruiting class is being decimated.
Fraumann is a Michigan legacy who lived in Ann Arbor as a kid. Not shocking that he would jump at that opportunity.
Keeping Carr and Harris is critical now, they’re clear 1a 1b top of our class. Fraumann was 3rd best in my opinion and Boone is 4 if that visit goes badly for us.
We have now lost officially 2 DL and 2 OL (Northwestern and Michigan). With the losses officially announced we have dropped in the rankings from 75 to 82 and now have dropped to second in the MAC behind Toledo.
It’s easy to get pulled in by the super magnet of rankings. The truth about ranking is once you get below unanimous 4 stars they are ranked due to how tye ranking system works. If a player can afford to pay the services they receive preferential evaluation plus additional exposure with write ups by scouts. Due to the honesty and integrity of this staff many decommits will come back to us after being coached at a P4 school. Not concerned about rankings versus the right players. Over the years the staff has done an amazing job identifying over looked and young men who can be developed in 2-3 years. They have also done a surprising job of late pickups who immediately played as freshman.
Hard to compete with a Big Ten offer even before accounting for NIL, especially when every player knows they can always transfer to another school if they don’t like how things shake out.
Hudson Aultman is decommiting after his visit to MSU.

All these schools trust the MU evaluation. This is mad respect and also a curse. I’m ok with both.
“only true interior prospect committed to MSU”
Difficult situation and bad news to lose talented recruits. That said we have a very young team and absent a great number of portal losses we do not have many roster openings for 2026. Does anyone on this site have solid numbers/info on how many players on our current team are out of elgbility next year?
- I’m making this up, but I’m curious how close I’ll be.
