Only speculation, but I wonder if the staff is prioritizing early commitment/signings so there’s less late-season work needed when the portal becomes a much bigger short-term priority.

Agree. Also, 105 scholarships starts next year so you don’t have to be to concerned on holding a few for signing day if you have top guys on your board undecided.
Would wait and see if Miami goes to 105 scholarships. If they add 20 for football they have to add 20 to women’s sports and not sure financially if Miami or the MAC is willing to do that right now in the current environment-40 new scholarships would be a big hit to the department.
