Did Dylan Downing graduate or transfer out? Regardless, will be very interested to see how our offense operates with Finn given we’ve never had a true dual threat QB with his kind of wheels under Chuck.
Downing was listed as a senior on the 2024 roster, so he graduated and/or exhausted his eligibility.

Josh Ringer could be a starter. If you haven’t seen any of his videos, do yourself a favor and do so. Kid is incredible at HS level. We will see what he does with an open RB room.
Not worried about the talent of the RB room, just the depth. Lately the team has been successful with a lot of guys contributing. One injury and things could get dicey.

Do we not have any running backs among our high school recruits who will be reporting this summer? Also, I thought we had got a commit from a transfer running back. Is he not coming?
There are 2 RB commits in the 2026 class but we did not bring any in the 2025 class who will come in the summer.

ESPN’s SP+ currently has us ranked 96 of 136 FBS teams, behind Toledo/OU/UB in the MAC. Offense is 135, defense is 35, ST is 4, and SOS is 112. I know preseason rankings are next to meaningless in the portal era but if our offense is 2nd to last in the nation (one spot behind Kent) I’ll eat my Redskins hat.

Only two G5 teams in their Top 50 and none in the Top 25. Every year two or three finish in the Top 25.

If you just look at what was lost all 11 starters on offense are gone. Yes we have transfers in that have experience but wonder if and how the rankings calculate this. But just based on what is returning 135 seems just about right

ESPN’s MAC Preview has us looking up at Toledo, Ohio, and Buffalo but we are also in 3 of the 5 top conference games. Hard to argue with the points made about lost production through graduation and transfers.
With Shaun Dolac now with the LA Rams, I can’t wait to see the absurdly high number of fabricated tackles UB awards to Red Murdock.
