Strong non-conference schedule on display here. Kent at 99 and Ball U at 110 despite better overall records.

The MAC is also ranked 16/30. Not such a bad conference this year

Monstrous improvement in just two seasons!
Was a 20 year underachieving sport that will now likely be a top 75 team in the country. Tremendous improvement.

Smiley also seems very ambitious. He has talked about how this year the goal is competing in the MAC and going forward he wants to compete in nonconference too

When he came here he talked about the goal of playing in the college World Series. I think they did that at Indiana State.
