This is very reminiscent of James Carnie and Nebraska a year or so. TE. Commits to Miami, is from Nebraska, rescinds Miami verbal, signs with Nebraska. There one year, no playing time. Gone from Nebraska.

One good thing is that kids who de-commit have developed symbiotic relationships with the coaches at the spurned school. If they decide to transfer later they often reach out to those coaches. Most coaches say one thing they rely on in taking kids from the portal is a prior relationship.

Flip side is that they’ll no longer be locked into playing Michigan, OSU, Penn State and Michigan State every year. More games against the existing west teams will probably help them a bit.

After my trip to East Lansing Saturday, I can’t see why they’d want to give up the Spartans. Lol
Last I checked some small school. Concordia maybe. Truth is, given our injury situation at TE, he might be getting playing time at Miami if he were here.
